About the Author
Professor of Economics and International Business at the Stern School of Business, New York University. His research and publications focus on international industrial competition and government policies toward international trade and industry. He has been a Visiting Professor at Aoyama Gakuin University in Japan and a member of the U.S. faculty at the National Center for Industrial Science and Technology Management Development in China. He received the university-wide, Distinguished Teaching Award at New York University in 1991, and twice he was voted Professor of the Year by graduate students at the Stern School of Business.

Good Intro to International Economics

I used this book for my international economics undergraduate course and found it easy to understand; it doesn't use lengthy mathematical formulas but utilizes basic macroeconomic theories. The authors organized this book well; the later chapters build upon the beginning ones. However, it would be best to have taken Intermediate Macroeconomics before using this book because the last few chapters rely heavily on a good understanding of intermediate level material.

A common textbook for undergraduate economics courses

Solid reliable textbook - I used this in my first economics class and had no trouble understanding the content. The extensive use of diagrams, charts, and tables is a must for this discipline. My favorite part as a student was the case studies, which provided good discussions in class and some insight and context on the applications and ramifications of concepts in this field to the real world.
